The History Press is the UK’s largest specialist history publisher. We publish around 200 new titles a year on a wide range of subjects including local, military and transport history, general history and heritage.
We are looking for a marketing executive to implement publicity campaigns for all new local history titles. This role provides direct support to the commissioning editor for local history in the ongoing development of the local history range (for UK and Irish titles), marketing the range to existing and prospective media and retail customers and arranging author events to ensure that the department is able to meet its targets. The ideal candidate will have experience in copywriting, social media marketing and project management. Core attributes include good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, an ability to work across a multitude of projects and creativity. The salary for this role will be in the region of £18,000 depending upon experience. The role is currently based at our office near Stroud, and will move to our new office at Cheltenham later in the year.
