Georgian
More than just wigs and country houses, the Georgian era was a period of great contrasts: poverty and wealth, social elegance and riotous ribaldry. It was also perhaps one of the most shocking, gory, vice-ridden and downright surprising periods in English history.
As well as great events such as the Battle of Waterloo, famous characters from this era include Napoleon, Jane Austen, Horatio Nelson and the Duke of Wellington, all of whom feature in our extensive list of Georgian titles.
