Chris Makepeace has lived in the Manchester area for about fifty years and has a particular interest in the city’s history from the mid-eighteenth century onwards.
He started work as a librarian with the Manchester Local History Library and more recently has been involved as an adult education tutor specialising in the history of Manchester.
He has written twenty-eight books on the history of Manchester to date.
